BOOK REVIEW - JESSIE INCHAUSPÉ's Glucose Revolution

Image
Revolutionary! Visionary! Remarkable!     PC: My paperback Glucose Revolution Book 'Glucose Revolution' by Jessie Inchauspé is a bright and simple take on 'clean and good eating hacks' which are so easy, so simple, so 'oh really!, is it that simple?' , that it will make you wonder!  It is indeed, 'the life-changing power of balancing your blood sugar', as has the author clearly written on the book cover.  It is revolutionizing to know that just the order of what you eat can solve so many problems especially to people like me who have a sweet tooth.  The author brilliantly mentions the ways we can enhance the quality of food habits alongwith improving general health, reducing fatigue and crashing that often accompany some bad eating habits.  PC: Glucose Goddess The biochemist shares the outcomes of her experiments with food and habits that have huge impact on overall health.  As we know it, glucose spike is the leading cause of unwanted weight gain, let...

BOOK REVIEW- CAT BOHANNON's Eve

Image
PC : Book Cover What has the author not talked about? She has talked about almost everything people would usually not even be able to think about in the least. That is the unique versatility, the author is bestowed with. That is the momentum of the book, the readers will find ineresting to keep on reading.  Here, we are looking at evolution, geography, physiology, biology, paleantology and what not. The best part I found myself often indulging in are the subscript notes that the author has included, describing nuances. They are written beautifully and very interestingly.  PC: VectorStock   The whole book is not just a book of science of evolution but also that of inquisition and deep analysis of all the factors that are not visible to a naked eye. It asks the question of how we persuade ourselves to claim to study evolution by excluding the very part of population which is given the name of nurturers and life-bearing beings, females!  The author goes on to elaborat...

BOOK REVIEW - STEPHEN C. MEYER’S Darwin's Doubt

Image
Darwin's Doubt: My dog-eared paperback book As the book's title suggests, this reading is going to be about difference of thought process around evolution between the common Darwinian model and the other being where the author wants its readers to focus, the fact that multitude of fossil records do not depict gradual change through microevolutionary variations with mere accumulation of tiny changes in morphology, that is the Cambrian Explosion. Picture by - Fossil of Trilobite Stephen Meyer is quite elaborate and succinct in putting forth details on the Cambrian period. This period, in evolutionary terms, is a period where evolution theories take on a paradoxical spontaneity. The most sudden explosion of a variety of unique life forms happened in this period of evolutionary history.  The book presents an elegant dialogue that revolves around Palaeontology, Geology, Molecular Biology and Epigenetics to assist in explaining scientific challenges to underst...

THE RISE OF AI - FEAR BEFORE THE DAWN

Image
Image: Pixabay-Seanbatty Like the hours before the dawn appear murky, skepticism hits our psyche right before the world witnesses a technological breakthrough. This century, we are engrossed in a mind-bending dialogue with ourselves whether Artificial Intelligence is going to be a Frankenstein experience or a 21st-century mega invention.  Image: Pixabay-darksouls1 My two cents to the world would rather be to not indulge in dialogue but to look at both the parameters and decide for ourselves how we maneuver around it. Take a moment with me and peek, not too far, but only in the 19th and 20th centuries. Skim through the brouhaha and behold the wonders of Telegraph, Sewing Machine, Photography, Internet, Television, and many more. These are only a few jargons to name and much to our anticipation, they brought immense commotion along with relief in disbelief to our lives. However, it has always been up to us whether we let these things spoil us or use them judic...

PC:  riedelmeier-Pixabay Tickle The Sleeping Brain: Ever wondered why there is this nagging and a never-ending fight between the two genders - male and female trying to perhaps, prove which one is stronger than the other ? The real tug of war is basically based on rights and duties. Who would know what and how things took place in history that has its ripples alive till date such that women seem to have to fight for basic rights for their cause and some misunderstood assumptions are born which tell men that somehow, their rights are being snatched away in the process of making way for women. The basic idea of right to live in peace professed in almost all global social movements is lost in the milieu of ignorance and flawed disposition of pride and arrogance. PC:  iqbalnuril-Pixabay Something Very Basic: All kinds of global social movements like Civil Rights, Peace movement, Feminism, Abortion Rights, Equality, Ecofeminism, Transgender Rights, Black Li...
