FOUR ACTIVITIES TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE A HEADACHE...
Many times we experience an out of the blue bout of headache and it does not necessarily happen because of an underlying health issue. Nevertheless, headache should not be ignored if it is recurrent.
The other day, I had a little stand-off with headache. I assume, I was profusely bored or probably did not quite listen to my own preaching about not to browse smart phone aimlessly!
An angelic soul suggested I better gulp down a bottle of Coke. The obedience in me nodded. That is when the heavens swirled open and these four great ideas winked at me and the red can of Coke shone brighter than ever.
So, let us dive in quickly.
1. Get a Coloring Book:
Coloring little corners of a leaf, flower or a picturesque landscape and spilling hues of brightness on paper is itself relaxing. Looking at soft or bright tones of color have an impact on our brain. It works like mosaic. You tend to notice how coloring is taking place.
All you need is a print-out or a coloring book, some color pencils, pen, sketch pens or a blank sheet to sketch your own design.
Same goes for painting. Only playing with color on paper or canvas is enough to forget your headache for a while.
2. Create A Photo Album:
Although technology has overtaken a lot of spheres of our lives, there are some old ways of doing things that are still exciting just like making a photo album.
Not only making a new one, looking at your old collection of albums also brings sweetness and relaxation.
Say Cheese!
3. Photography:
This goes without saying now that we have talked about photo albums already!
Photography, especially capturing nature is never futile. A chirping bird, a jumping frog, withered leaves, budding flower, a little pond, or anything where your mind takes you to.
If you do not enjoy taking pictures, sitting and witnessing entities of nature is rewarding to your eyes, relieving you of your headache.
4. Learn A Quick Activity:
A new quick activity to engage you with hand-eye coordination is an energy saver mechanism. Learning activities like sewing, painting, coloring, building with Lego, miniature art, Origami etc soothe your brain without making you restless.
These are some activities I have always tried when I am bored. They are a great source of feel-good-factor.
Let me know what you think of these.
Very very fun way to relieve that headache situation :)๐๐ผ
