ETIQUETTES OF WATCHING HORROR MOVIES...

                                                           PC: Washingtonpost.com

Why should we watch horror movies?
I have heard people say they wouldn't watch a horror movie at such and such time or when they are all by themselves. Although I know they are being chicken-hearted (including myself), I pretend to understand the logic.

In reality, movies of the likes which make you feel lifeless and on tenterhooks, bring an extremely out of this world experience.
Like chilli flakes, paprika, harissa, pepper and hot sauce stir the taste buds, horror movies put adrenaline out in open right on the surface of our skin.

For the sake of making more sense, enumerated are five personal techniques I have devised over the years to reap maximum content and benefits out of supernatural activities glaring at me.

Good luck reading...

Me-time:

Never watch a horror movie with family or a group of friends.

The thing is, your dear ones spoil the affect and effect of horror. The damage is so profound that you might end up recalling their ghoulish faces later at the dead of night instead of the real ghost!

Choose wisely:

We are homo-sapiens, whereby, sapiens in Latin means wise. Therefore, choose the best horror movie of time by researching the rating online. Do not succumb to the trap of horrendous movie plots because it turns out some movies are actually hilarious and not at all spooky.
It can spoil your mood to a large extent.

Boost your memory:

After a few days have peacefully passed by, go ahead and randomly try your best to remember the best scene that scared the life out of you. Trust me, the adrenaline rush returns with better imagination and hallucination. It is worth a shot!

Shuffle:

To better scare (a.k.a love) yourself in future, always shuffle a horror movie with another genre of your choice like comedy or romantic movie. This trick will keep you alive for the next spooky round.

Be Contagious:

Do not forget to tell your fellas about the movie you just watched. It is advisable to lure them to watch the same movie in their alone time and later know their experience. This is the best coping mechanism you can avail.

CONCLUSION:

It goes without saying, horror movies prepare us for the evils life throws at us. Slowly and gradually, you will learn how to not get startled or terrified at the mere sight of a problem you have to eventually deal with anyway.

My recommendation is you should start this self-paced learning as soon as possible, lest you get distracted again.
