A Quick Bite - A Grab-And-Go Recipe:

Sharing with all of you, my not-so-chef-like recipe, a very simple and quick one for days when you are on a run and time does not seem to be too friendly.

Without further ado, let us get to the quick steps.

(I have used Medjool dates, cashews, almonds, pecans and pistachios)

What You Need:

  1. A few dates, the softer they are the better  the binding. (You will know ahead what is meant by binding).

  1. A handful of nuts (dry fruits) of your choice like almonds, walnuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios, raisins, coconut flakes, dried plum, dried pineapple, dried mango etc.

  1. Honey - optional

  1. A grinder/mixer. Hand mortar pestle also works.

  1. Bread or Flat- Bread (Chappatti)

What To Do:

What you actually need to produce out of these already yummy ingredients is nothing but a moist mixture so that you can spread it on a base of your choice.

(You can modify the combination and add more dates to make it moister)

Without using much of your already occupied brain, go ahead and make a close to a coarse mixture of dates and nuts. Add a bit of honey if you prefer.

There you go! Your quick bite is ready. Spread the mixture on the bread/flat-bread and enjoy it along the way to your work, gym or an important errand you can not delay.

If your waist-line is your comrade and you enjoy bribing your taste buds once in a  while with cream, adding a layer of it on the base before spreading the nutty mixture, is a great idea.

Don't freak out, I have tried these yummy bites on crackers as well!

(Look at my grinning-crackers! )

The best part I find about this grab-and-go recipe is its authenticity, benefits for health and quick wrap-up time.

Hoping you like it!

Bon-Appetit!
